About Us

Ron & Gina Catania

Building a Homestead

Ron & Gina Catania

We proudly raised our sons and had rewarding careers in New Jersey. Now in Virginia, we call ourselves farmers! Ron built his career in the fire service, and Gina retired as a Special Education school principal, but currently works part time as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst providing ABA therapy. Each day is a gift and we cherish the land, the animals, the beautiful sunsets and each other.

When we first thought about retiring, we knew we wanted simplicity and a priority was to find more land for our dogs. (It's all about the dogs, right?) When we stumbled upon the farm, we knew our dogs would have plenty of room to run and that more animals would come into our lives.

We sell eggs and goat milk soap. We also love to make fresh goat cheese! We breed goats and host goat yoga when the 'kids' are young. We've met incredible animal mentors along the way who we now call friends.

Our son, Luke, and his wife, Jane, held their wedding reception at the farm. It proved to be the perfect venue with magical views and a stunning sunset. We love to share our farm with family, friends and visitors.
